Cibului Gorge Nature Reserve was established in 1995 is a protected natural area complex.
Cibului keys are located in the south-east of the Ore Mountains, Geoagiului Basin (tributary of Mures). They are part of a larger system of keys ferestruirea formed by two limestone ridges, peppers and Pleaşa Pleaşa Mare length of approximately 4.5 km by tributaries of the river Geoagiu: Cib, peppers and Mada (Balşa). Thus it was formed five key sectors: Cibului, Băcâiei, Glodului, peppers and Made.
Geology – Cibului keys are shaped in Jurassic limestone. Around them are present conglomerate, sandstone and marl forming Cretaceous flysch.
Relief – dominant is carved in limestone. Keys with a length of 1.4 kilometers are located in the eastern Plesi burn.
